Their elemental powers increase by 50% in this same distance and dip from 100% to 75% for 1 hour after leaving that radius of distance. Physical Description: Tall and leggy (5'9"), Lucia is slender and trim. She has long dark brown hair that she only ties back when she practices her dance and gymnastics. She has warm brown eyes and an infectious smile. Her skin is usually tanned and her hair kind of windblown because of all the time she spends outside. She prefers loose, flowy, lots of skirts and dresses and peasant type tops, in soft colors. She really doesn't like to wear shoes unless she has to, and has a large collection of strappy sandals she wears unless it's absolutely too cold and snowy. Personality: Lucia is happy, bubbly and creative. She's open and eternally cheerful, if a little hyperactive. Okay, a lot hyperactive. Like her brother, she suffers from a bit of ADHD. Hers is more distraction than the inability to focus. She is happiest when doing two or three things at the same time and all of them interesting. At least by her standards. She embodies her element, both the good and the bad. She's very smart, but her flittering from one interest or topic to another hides it. She never got really good grades unless it was something creative or athletic. She loved anything that let her move or use her imagination. Her only constants interests have been music, dance, gymnastics, and mythology. She's very religious, but not in any traditional sense. Lucia fully embraces the family's pagan beliefs. She is very open minded and accepting, people are what they are, just like the wind blows whatever direction it sees fit. Lucia loves her brother more than anyone in the world. Maurus grounds her (as much as is possible) and keeps her from losing her head too much in the clouds. When she's around him, she's even more cheerful and hyper, the pair of them together can exhaust people who aren't used to their energy level. Maurus helped her through her possibly single mental crisis, when she realized she just didn't have any interest in boys. Yeah, she liked them and they could be beautiful, but she didn't like them, like them. One sexual encounter told her that. It took some support from her family, especially her brother and mother, for her to accept that was how she was. Once she did, she never doubted it for second. She's a girly girly who likes girly girls. Needless to say, her love life has never been simple. She's prone to wanderlust in all it's forms, abandoning one thing or task or fad for another if it loses interest for her or just because she doesn't feel like doing it anymore. She can be as inconstent as her element, although she always floats back to the things that really matter to her. Her family, especially her brother and her music and dance. She's overly physically affectionate, she hugs and kisses everyone close to her (although not inappropriately) and is prone to hanging off people (especially her brother and parents). It's not like that. She's just huggy. She's a terrible flirt and she loves to make jokes and tease people, but it's all meant to be in good fun. This unfortunately can make her the queen of mixed messages and can cause a lot of confusion and miscommunication. She takes everyone at face value, if they're nice to her, she's nice to them, if they're mean, she's mean right back. If they're not interesting, she ignores them. Lucia is obsessed with fire and air. Air is obvious, it's her element and she loves nothing more than following the winds wherever they may guide her. Fire is Maurus, and she's drawn like a moth to the flame. She loves to make the flames dance with her powers, making them rise and fall and flicker and flash. They just naturally go together. Like her and Maurus. Sexuality: Homosexual History: When Gabriel Argyris stumbled upon a family of witches at a Pagan Pride Day festival in Detroit, he did not expect to fall in love with a 35 year old widow. And he did not expect to love her one year old twins as well. But that was the way fate worked and after a year and a half of dating, he proposed to Priscilla and they were wed as quickly as they could manage. Gabriel officially adopted Maurus and Lucia shortly after the wedding. The family moved to Scarlet Oak in Ann Arbor when the twins were three. They grew up in the township and really just flourished. Maurus was extremely fond of his twin and they were rather inseparable for a great deal of their life. They went everywhere together and were the best of friends. Priscilla noted her son was different when he was very young – about age four when he stuck his whole arm in a fireplace and emerged unscathed. She began teaching him of his abilities and training him, hoping and waiting for the day his sister found her’s. And when she did, their closeness sort of doubled as fire cannot exist without oxygen – or in this case, Air. When Lucia broke her arm in the fifth grade, Maurus escorted her everywhere carrying her books and anything else he would let her. Of course, once they hit middle school, the closeness started to weaken. It never disappeared but they began seeking out their own lives. It was just before Maurus got arrested Lucia had her first and only sexual encounter with a boy and realized she just didn't like them. She got through it with the support and love of her family and learned to accept it but then he got in trouble and it was her turn to be there for him. She realized she'd gotten too far away from her brother and it was bad for both of them. She began to focus more on her abilities when he did, learning to use her powers to compliment his. She was always very involved in the pagan/wiccan community, and was glad to see her brother getting back to their roots. It was better for him. She went off on her own little communing with her element trip when Maurus took his. And of course, she found him in the middle of nowhere in Arizona about the time she needed to head back to start winter quarter at college. So they hung out for awhile, then headed back. Since the Light of May: Unlike her brother, Lucia LOVES the idea of the Light of May. They don't have to hide anymore, they can show the world their wonderful gifts. The only reason she didn't run up onto the roof and shout it to the heavens is the rest of her family is nervous and suspicious and she won't purposely upset them. So she's keeping a lid on it as much as she can. For now. Special Skills/Abilities: Lucia is a talented dancer, she's studied ballet and modern dance for years, taken ballroom dance, etc. She plays flute extremely well and has a beautiful saprano voice. She's studied gymnastics since she was a little girl, although she stopped competing years ago to focus on her dance. Beyond this, she can cook and knows a great deal about pagan/wiccan beliefs and new age culture. She has a basic high school education. Personal Weaknesses: Her worst flaw is her inconsistency. Lucia can be very flighty and fickle. She doesn't like to be pinned down at all and gets very upset if she thinks someone is trying to control her. She is the wind in her mind, she can be harnassed but never contained or controlled. She's very claustrophobic, even inclosed public bathrooms and rooms without windows make her twitchy. She has to at least be able to see the sky, more than a few minutes and she's out of there. Sorry. She's nearly incapable of sitting still, even for a few minutes. Her attention span is very short and she's prone to overloading herself with mutiple tasks to keep busy. If it isn't one of her true priorities, she can't be expected to finish tasks and she loses track of things easily. Maurus is her flame, she always returns to him. He's her strength and together they empower each other in every way possible. People sometimes misconstrue their closeness and if anything happened to him, she'd just fall apart and drift endlessly with no direction. She refuses to even consider life without him in it. Personal Strengths: Lucia is kind, witty, fun and outgoing. She's the kind of girl who will do anything for those she cares about. Her connection to her brother is one of her greatest strengths, they empower each other and she finds strength and focus when he's around. He really does keep her grounded. She's a very talented dancer, singer and musician and is about as open minded and accepting as people get.
